ENSIFERUM - One Man Army

One Man Army is the sixth album from Finnish warriors Ensiferum. It was recorded with many times awarded producer Anssi Kippo, who also worked with Children Of Bodom, Impaled Nazarene and many others. The recording took place between September and November 2014 in Astria Studios in Lappeenranti, Finland.

It consists of eleven heroic and victorious psalms. Even this time Ensiferum left nothing to coincidence. Every accord on the album is considered and fits perfectly. Epic atmosphere of the album is perfectly upgraded with catchy melodies that made One Man Army stood up to its predecessor Unsung Heroes.

Sammi Hinkka commented: “Listeners can experience a better sound and natural groove, something that we think most metal albums lack these days. Overall, the album sounds much more like a band playing live rather than ‘midi-metal.’ I think we’ve learned from previous sessions what we like,” he continues, “and on this album I think we finally reached the level songwriting and sound wise that we have been reaching for on our previous albums. We are extremely proud of each second of this album.“
