Black Diamond - Last Man Standing

Black Diamond - Last Man Standing

The beginning of Black Diamond goes back to 2005. At that time Igor Manasijevič and Nejc Vidmar started playing together with only one goal: creating high profile heavy metal music with some freshness of their own added.

New found collaboration was searching for musicians to complete the line up. Some musicians from local scene joined the ranks, but they all left because they can’t cope with the demanding level set for Black Diamond.

Apparently Igor and Nejc needed to search wider area to find musicians for their band. Speaking of today, Black Diamond line up is completed with three high profile musicians, starting with one of the best rock/metal singers Balkans has to offer, Žanil Tataj Žak (Divlje Jagode, Mary Rose). The man behind drums is Robert Kovačič who gave his services to such as Belphegor and Urban Medič from progressive metal band Prospect.

The recording of Last Man Standing took place at Studio Evolucija with producer Simon Jovanovič. With Black Diamond nothing is left to coincidence, so they were recording that long until they were satisfied, absolutely and 100%, with the result. The album was mixed at Studio Evolucija and mastered in Finland, at Finnvox by famous mastering engineer Mika Jussila.

Last Man Standing represents heavy metal as it is supposed to be: sung with balls and played with heart. With dynamic, organic sound that is tensely breathing fire into listener’s senses.
