Carignan was found in the early Summer of 2006. That summer Bernhard (vocals) and David (bass) got the idea to start a death metal project. After a short search the gitarrist Peter joined the band. To finish the line-up they had to find a drummer. Time passed by, but they weren’t able to find the right guy for this job. Just before they gave it up, they met Claudio and Carignan was born. They started to write their first songs… After a few months they changed their style to death/grind… Added more blastbeats…The songs became faster, the message became more aggressive. They rewritten the songs.

David left the band in spring of 2007, reason being lack of time. In May of the same year they played their first gigs, as support to bands like Spasm, Vulvathrone, Sanatorium, Sublime Cadaveric Decomposition, Abysmal Torment and others. All shows were very successful for the band and after another concert in June they decided to record their first album. They started working on the songs, wrote new ones and selected the ones to be recorded. In February of 2008 they recorded their first album, titled Mastubatorium. One month after they finished our studio work, Martin joined Carignan and line-up is completed with the new bass player.

Mastubatorium will be released in January 2009 through On Parole Productions.
